Who We Are
Bump and Bloom Doula Services was founded by Jalia Robinson, a certified doula and professional career nanny with a passion for supporting families during one of life’s most transformative journeys. With six years of experience as a career nanny and additional work supporting adults with development and intellectual disabilities, Jalia brings a unique understanding of both the challenges and joys of welcoming new life. Our team is dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where families can truly thrive and bloom.

Meet The Founder
Jalia Robinson
Welcome to Bump and Bloom Doula Services! I’m so glad you’re here.
My journey into birth work began in 2020, when I started my professional career as a nanny. In that role, I had the privilege of supporting families during the tender postpartum period—and naturally, I became deeply curious about the experiences that brought them to that point. Hearing their birth stories, both beautiful and difficult, sparked something in me. I knew I wanted to be part of that journey.
At first, I planned to go to nursing school, but my path evolved. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Exercise Science and quickly found myself drawn to roles where I could combine movement, healing, and connection—as a coach, trainer, and caregiver.
That path eventually led me right here: to doula work. And this is where my heart truly belongs.
My passion for birth work deepened when I learned about the maternal health disparities affecting Black and Brown women—who are far more likely to face complications or be unheard in medical spaces compared to their white counterparts. That reality lit a fire in me. I knew I wanted to make a difference. But I also realized this kind of support is something all women and birthing people deserve—compassionate, informed, culturally sensitive care during one of life’s most vulnerable and powerful transitions.
Today, through Bump and Bloom, I’m honored to walk alongside families on their journey to parenthood. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, my goal is to help you feel empowered, educated, supported, and celebrated—every step of the way.

Nourishing Postpartum Support Package
$40-$45/hour (4-hour minimum)
